If you access run with windows key + R, then type:
sndvol
this will bring you to a tool that lets you quickly adjust the levels of apps.

Thanks for this, Michael, as I always seem to forget running sndvol from the Run dialog.
Another method that I use to open a similar dialog is by pressing ctrl+Windows+V. This is not quite the same dialog that the sndvol command invokes but it will essentially allow you to do the same things. I’m not sure if this will work in Windows 10 but it definitely works in at least the later version of Win11; I’m using 23 H2.
