I’m thrilled to share some exciting updates from Glidance, directly from Kyle Buzzard, one of the co-founders and Head of Product. Here’s everything you need to know about the latest developments, the amazing team behind the scenes, and upcoming events you won’t want to miss.

Product Development and Roadmap

Glidance is making significant progress on their journey from concept to reality. They are currently deep into the development of their Alpha and Beta prototypes, with plans to start shipping the first production units in September 2025. The product roadmap highlights key milestones and the continuous efforts in validating the product, design, and software, including their proprietary AI-powered Glidance Sensible Wayfinding system.

Meet the Glidance Team

The success of Glidance is driven by a team of incredibly talented and experienced individuals. Here are a few key members:

  • Chris Gindel, Head of Engineering: With a 17-year career at Bose, Chris has led the development of numerous products, including the Bose Frames. He has expertise in mobile sensors and guidance systems.

  • Nick Koukourakis, Project Director: Nick brings two decades of experience from Maytag and Whirlpool. He focuses on product development, manufacturing, supply chain, and logistics.

  • Lorien, Product Manager: With 8 years of experience at Amazon, Lorien specializes in building connected hardware products.

  • Bryant, Robotics Software Engineer: Bryant has 10 years of experience at Bear Robotics and Neato, focusing on autonomous mobile robotics.

  • Maja, Computer Vision and Data Engineer: Maja is a talented engineer from Slovenia, contributing to the advancement of Glidance’s technology.

  • Josiah, Robotics Hardware Engineer: Josiah holds a master’s degree from MIT and brings his expertise in robotics hardware.

  • Simon, Mechanical Engineer: Based in Europe, Simon has extensive experience in mechanical engineering.

  • Jean-Baptiste, Senior Software Technical Lead: With 12 years of experience in computer vision and autonomous mobile robotics, Jean-Baptiste is a key player in the software development team.

Community Engagement and Events

Glider Community Zoom Call: For those interested in more technical details and deeper insights into the product development phase, Glidance hosts Community Zoom calls. The next session is on Wednesday, August 28th. These calls are a fantastic opportunity to engage directly with the team and other community members.

I don’t know if it is just me or has there been a subtle change to the messages coming out from Amos in the past month? I have had it in my head that September 2025 was when Glidance was coming, but lately I’ve noticed it is by the end of 2025!

Only a few months, but once it starts slipping…
